5 methods for working at heights

FALL PROTECTION
Equipment used to hold and, in the event of a fall, safely catch the user before, during and after the fall. A normal fall protection system consists of:

  • Anchorage point
  • Full harness
  • Connecting line, with fall arrester

 

FALL-STOP

A fall protection system that allows the users to work in a risk area and, in the event of a fall, to catch the individual through a fall arrester. A normal fall-stop protection system consists of:

  • Anchorage point
  • Full harness
  • Fall-stop line, with fall arrester

 

SUPPORT EQUIPMENT

Equipment providing support for the user, preventing the risk of falling so that work can be safely carried out. A normal support equipment set-up consists of:

  • Anchorage point
  • Full harness
  • Support line and connecting line

 

ROPE-WORK

A system used for users to position themselves freely hanging in situations where a foot support is not possible/dependable.  A normal rope-work equipment set-up consists of:

  • Anchorage point
  • Full harness with connection point for fall protection, support and sitting posture function
  • 2 rope system: - one active working rope, - one back-up rope

 

RESCUE

A system to save a user who needs to be evacuated or rescued. A normal rescue system set-up consists of:

  • Anchorage point
  • Full harness or rescue sling
  • Evacuation and/or rescue equipment
